Bowhill miners founded boxing in the village in 1919 to promote and develop                         boxing in the surrounding area and was affiliated to the                                           Miners Welfare Organisation.               
2019 will see the Centenary Year
THE BOXING CLUB HAS PRODUCED A VAST NUMBER OF CHAMPIONS AND SCOTTISH INTERNATIONALISTS THROUGHOUT THESE YEARS
